mindblaster
Update - sorry seems that the Provider causes this error ;( I' already used that 'redirect' or 'forward' in 'The Bat!' is not properly recognized by Spamcop when i send it from the Bat 2.X BUT even if i copy the source of the Mail from 'The Bat!' and insert it on the Web fronted to Spamcop, the system in 99% of all mail doesn't scan the body of the mail - Header data found in body, aborting link detection, is the error -this happen also in the outlook fix mode in SC, which should not be necessary for the Bat and now i wonder if its an error of Spamcop, an error from the Bat, or an error from SpamPal and the Plugin which i use with it?? for example this html mail had the error too Finding links in message body Header data found in body, aborting link detection thanks for your advice have a great time adrian Message Start Return-Path: <XXX> Received: from XXXX by XXX id XXX; Sun, 4 Jul 2004 17:52:35 +0200 Received: from XXX; Sun, 04 Jul 2004 22:58:25 +0600 Message-ID: <XXX> From: XXX Reply-To: XXX To: XXX CC: XXX Subject: **spam** XXX Date: Sun, 04 Jul 2004 12:56:25 -0400 X-Mailer: AOL 5.0 for Windows US sub 006 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="--XXX" X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-IP:XXX ----XXX Content-Type: text/html; Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit X-Bayesian-Result: spam (100) X-P2P: PASS X-SpamPal: spam BAYESIAN_PLUGIN BODY ----XXXXX Return-Path: <XXX> Received: from XXXX by XXXX id XXXX; Sun, 4 Jul 2004 17:52:35 +0200 Received: from XXXX; Sun, 04 Jul 2004 22:58:25 +0600 Message-ID: <XXXX> From: XXX Reply-To: XXX To: my address Cc: some addresses from my provider Subject: **spam** Date: Sun, 04 Jul 2004 12:56:25 -0400 X-Mailer: AOL 5.0 for Windows US sub 006 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="--XXX" X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-IP:XXX ----XXX Content-Type: text/html; Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit X-Bayesian-Result: spam (100) X-P2P: PASS X-SpamPal: spam BAYESIAN_PLUGIN BODY <html> <head> </head> <body> The Message in html </body> </html> ----some numbers-- ----here too--
Wazoo
Please post a Tracking URL of a spam you tried to submit, so "we" can see what's actually going on. What you've posted as a sample is just way too messed up to guess at just what you're doing. There is so much editing done, I don't have a clue as to why there are two sets of headers provided but only one spam body (?) .. word/line wrapping issues all over the place, is the line "Message Start" actually part of your submittal, etc., etc., etc.
mindblaster
ah sorry i didn't see that spamcop already cut the not necessary parts heres the link spam why there are two sets of headers provided but only one spam body That is right, i wonder that by myself but it was a html message and that way The Bat! gave me the source, i don't know why there are two headers and was thinking that's the way for html message, if there is also a text only version within.... But if that's not normal then its maybe a The Bat 2.12 issue?!
Wazoo
You linked to a report ID ... no one but you can walk into that link. The Tracking URL would have been found at the top of the Parsing page. Construction of a "legitimate" e-mail has one header, one body, and at least one blank line between these parts. Old instructions for a previous version, but "How to get full Headers for The Bat!" is found at http://www.spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/228.html ... As I'm working in the dark here, that's about all the help I can offer.
mindblaster
Thanks for your Fast answer I fix the link already spam I'm pretty sure i made no mistake when handling the source in the bat, because you just have to press one button and then get the source -but for this partial error maybe its because i try also the 'outlook fix' with the two windows and so sc mixed those two up, but you surely know more when looking at the source what the error it is... but maybe its really just an issue with the Bat, so one more reason to switch to Thunderbird have a great time adrian
Wazoo
Your sample submittal has numerous issues .. boundary lines in particular ... see http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1866 where there gets to be a bit of discussion on what they look like, where they are found, etc .... I've no idea what just grabbing the message source from The Bat! gets you (noting that the spam submittal looks nothing like your original posted "sample" .... Then I have to add in the confusion over the use of the two-part form, especially not knowing if it's necessary ... So I start with the missing Boundary and Content-Type: lines in the "body" ... Second is the strange insertion of a Boundary line within the Headers; X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-IP:172.245.44.89 ----371635166636828242 X-Content-Type: text/html; That second line does not belong there .. But the question of course is how did it get there? Third, as in the link I referenced, there is the missing blank line between the headers and body .... So are the second person reporting on this problem or is there a whole bunch of other stuff involved? I'm back to needing to see the original spam, vice all the other applications getting involved, apparently. At this point, is it your application mixture, is it your mechanical process of moving bits around, is it the two-part form, is there something funked up with SpamPal and the un-named Plug-In you mentioned, on and on .... how about going through that other Topic, see if anything might apply/explain what I'm going on about, then see if you can get the "right" sort of data from The Bat!, and holler at me/us some more .... Perhaps another The Bat! user will jump in here ..???
mindblaster
Your sample submittal has numerous issues .. boundary lines in particular ... The Help from the Spamcop FAQ Pointed me to that conclusion too - so i try to change the width of the warping of the message in the Bat, because i was thinking, maybe that caused the error (even if it seems a bit unlogical), and as it has to be, that didn't help at all .... I've no idea what just grabbing the message source from The Bat! gets you (noting that the spam submittal looks nothing like your original posted "sample" .... it seems that this one is my fault -sorry for that one - I played when i post the message a little with the report in the spamcop site and try to submit it also with the 'two windows outlook fix' and then maybe i was not having enough attention, when i copy and paste it for the post ;( So I start with the missing Boundary and Content-Type: lines in the "body" ... Second is the strange insertion of a Boundary line within the Headers; X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-IP:172.245.44.89 ----371635166636828242 X-Content-Type: text/html; That second line does not belong there .. But the question of course is how did it get there? hmm when its really just the warping and this one also, then its not very likely that the Bat cause it, even if I'm using the actually Beta Then its most likely the combination of my SpamPal Plugins which i use Bayesian Filter P2P Plugin UcDNSBL URLBody are the cause Third, as in the link I referenced, there is the missing blank line between the headers and body .... So are the second person reporting on this problem or is there a whole bunch of other stuff involved? I'm back to needing to see the I try to disable SpamPal for a while and check out if the error still occurs and post it if it works or not Update: I try it whiteout SpamPal and the errors which you pointed out still exist, so there is only the possibility that The Bat! or my Provider causes this error ;( - in either way i have to life with it because i like the Bat, but when i have some time left i will check it with Thunderbird if its the Provider or not Update 2: Try it with Thunderbird and the issue still occurs, so its most likely the Provider ;( have a great week adrian
