jamiers
I have been using spamcop as a member for over three years. I forward my spam email to my "special" spamcop assigned email address. I have always sent them from Outlook Express as an attachment. Now, my spam messages are not being parsed and are being returned to me with the following message: A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: submit.<REMOVED>[at]spam.spamcop.net This message has been rejected because it has a potentially executable attachment "Message subject.eml" This form of attachment has been used by recent viruses or other malware. If you meant to send this file then please package it up as a zip file and resend it. Could someone explain this to me? Has something changed that I don't know about? Thanks -- Jamie
Robert Slade
This is because it is probably a virus as it contains an executable attachment and SC does not accept these. EML code runs on HTML enabled mail clients eg OE. see http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_99237.htm for an example of a virus/worm that propagates this way. Chances are that your system is now infected, you do have up to date antivirus software don't you? Rob
