bonni Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I've been poking around in the options and settings in the webmail system, but I can't find anything that appears to be what I'm looking for. Basically, I'd like to be able to download the entire contents of a given folder for archival purposes (and then I could delete the stuff that's on Spamcop's server, as well). Is there a moderately easy way to do this? Just point in the right direction, please. bonni
StevenUnderwood Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 When logged into webmail, select the Folder icon toward the top of the screen. Navigate to the folder you wish to archive and place a check mark in the box. Use the Choose Action: pulldown and select one of the Download Folder(s) options. The zip format previously did not work but did just work for me doing a small test. Depending on the size of your mailbox, this may take a while. Very large folders may actually timeout. It took close to a minute to download 476 messages from my trash folder in either format. Good luck and if you determine a working limit for the size of the mailbox before timeout, please reply with that information.
bonni Posted September 18, 2004 Author Posted September 18, 2004 Excellent, thanks. I'll go try this now and report back as to how it went. [...] Perfect. Works fine, zip and all. bonni
