Quantar Posted October 10, 2004 Author Posted October 10, 2004 Hi! As the topic says, i just reported a wrong email ( i had so many spam emails, that i didn't noticed it wasn't spam ) What can i do now? Thanks in advance! 18595[/snapback] well... i just sent an mail with apologies to everyone, who reveived the report ( i.e. ironport at spamcomp , postmaster at the sender's domain etc. ) Can i do anything to remove this address from the blacklist, in case it is added to the blacklist because of my report? Too bad there is no option to withdraw a report!
Wazoo Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 If you'd take a few to wander through the FAQ, you'd have found that your initial query has been asked so many times, there's a special entry for it. The things to do list does not contain an IronPort address, and really can't imagine where you'd come up with one that would have a direct bearing on a SpamCop report gone bad. As far as withdrawing a complaint sent, do you have a pointer to any other type of e-mail application or service that let's you "unsend" an e-mail after it has started its propagation?

In fact i ruined my this evening for myself with it About withdraw: i meant that it could be possible that there would be some function to undo own report, which would remove the entry caused by my report ( i see, there is no such function since we are asked to email deputies, what i did now )
Wazoo Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 As a response from the recipient of all the "emergency" e-mail, please see http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?...indpost&p=17868 as one example of why an address is not put on the front page in flashing red letters.
