herbalist Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 I'm getting a collection of fake e-mail from eBay. Wanted to forward them to eBay directly but I don't have an account there. Where can I send these? Rick

herbalist Posted May 31, 2005 Author Posted May 31, 2005 You and I must be the only ones without ebay / paypal accounts. 28683 I hear that. Makes it easy to pick out the scams though. Thanks for the links. Just opened a Hotmail account for a spam/virus catcher. Have yet to actually use the address and there's already 3 from "eBay" there, and 4 with the Sober-S virus, plus a couple of the usual "I'm from .... with $$$ to move..." scams. Not bad for an unused account. So much for HotMail getting better. Got 3 more from "eBay" in Yahoo, plus e-mail made to look like it's from the Yahoo administrator with the MyDoom virus. Finding where to send this was quite a pain too. More viruses for my collection. Rick
Farelf Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 ... spoof[at]ebay.com spoof[at]paypal.com ... reportphishing[at]antiphishing.org 28683 I had sworn off reporting to these organizations (eBay in particular) - http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=4288# but the phishes still keep streaming in so, inspired by your example, I am sending them on once more. Thanks for the motivation.
Barry BURBs Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Sorry, me again. I just had a load of bounced emails from someone who is spoofing my domain. I've reported them as spam as normal here, is there somewhere else I should send them (forwarded as attachments)?

I see this is a slightly different question. If you've reported them via SpamCop then you've probably done all you can. Personally, I believe you'll find that the problem will disappear in a day or two as the spammers move onto somebody else's Email address to borrow. I sure hope they don't come back to mine again Andrew
