xzr1tv Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 I had (thought?) my mailhosts were configured corrrectly. Out of the blue, some of the messages are telling me. "You have failed to configure your own mail host, from which you pop mail" I configured that host, months and months ago.... It is a Yahoo server..... I looked at the configuration, and it has greatly changed since when I first setup, so evidently the system dynamically adjusts..... Any idea, how I correct I problem represented below? I know I could drop/add the account in mailhost, but I feel I would be back to 'square one' Here are the reporting messages... Jeff G. Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 pop1-f.sbc.mail.vip.mud.yahoo.com ( 68.142.198.12 ) was in fact not configured as a Mailhost when I first read your message, and yet that is where mailgate's fetchmail is fetching from. I have notified the Deputies of this problem because I, too, am a Yahoo! customer.
turetzsr Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 ...Is this an example of why quick reporting is not a good idea for everyone?

I have notified the Deputies of this problem because I, too, am a Yahoo! customer. 30488[/snapback] How long should it take them to correct? Or did Prodigy/Yahoo make more changes? 0: Received: from unknown (HELO c60.cesmail.net) (192.168.1.105) by blade1.cesmail.net with SMTP; 5 Aug 2005 15:12:50 -0000 Internal handoff at SpamCop 1: Received: from mailgate.cesmail.net (216.154.195.36) by c60.cesmail.net with ESMTP; 05 Aug 2005 11:12:50 -0400 Hostname verified: mailgate.cesmail.net SpamCop received mail from SpamCop ( 216.154.195.36 ) 2: Received: from pop-sbc.mail.yahoo4.akadns.net [68.142.198.12] by mailgate.cesmail.net with POP3 (fetchmail-6.2.1) for joegill[at]spamcop.net (single-drop); Fri, 05 Aug 2005 11:12:50 -0400 (EDT) Hostname verified: pop1-f.sbc.mail.vip.mud.yahoo.com SpamCop received mail from sending system 68.142.198.12 3: Received: from 206.131.238.209 (EHLO ylpvm36.prodigy.net) (207.115.57.67) by mta103.sbc.mail.mud.yahoo.com with SMTP; Fri, 05 Aug 2005 07:51:44 -0700 Hostname verified: ylpvm36-ext.prodigy.net warning:Possible forgery.
