Wazoo
Rumour has reached my screen that there exists a quick.sc_code[at] e-mail address. Is this rumour true? I have the perl scri_pt suppled by SpamCop hooked up to a dedicated spamtrap account (uses addresses that can never be valid at the domains in question, and that spammers chose for me :> ), and it'd be nice to not have to hit 'confirm' on each of the spams that gets reported... There is also no link with that title in the FAQ section on reporting, possibly implying that since I'm not a paying user, certain items in the FAQ are not visible to me - or the item is only in the forum and not in the FAQ. > entry offers a couple of other FAQ links that show some > dependencies on other aspects of your reporting account, > SpamCop Admin decisions, code changes, etc. Technically, > the "difference" is changing Submit: to Quick: ,,, but due to > the history of users jumping into quick-reporting and not > verifying/noticing results ... some hurdles were put into place. Ta The www.spamcop.net FAQ is incorporated into the single-page access point and much expanded version found in the Forum. That you didn't find the 'titled' item says that you didn't follow the link to the Forum version of the SpamCop FAQ. The birth of the Forum version was due to issues such as this. StevenUnderwood
The search engine (google in fact) did not return that section when asked to find 'quick' in the FAQ. 32709[/snapback] Try "quick." without the quotes... Results 1 - 10 of about 12,100 from forum.spamcop.net for quick.. I'm guessing that the "Google search" referenced was from the www.spamcop.net Help page, dropdown wasn't used (or reached) so the only thing 'searched' was the www.spamcop.net FAQ ... second 'note' would be that as this person didn't follow the original link to 'see' the Forum version of the SpamCop FAQ, he/she probably won't see this either <g> .... but then again ...????
