Is spamcop.net spamming?

I saw this under the statistics:

62 spamcop.net 1840 0.007%

spamcop.net was list number 62. What is going on? Has the spamcop servers been compromised? Or are people reporting their spamcop email address? Or has a spammer put the spamcop website in the body of the junk email?

I assume you are talking about the bottom list on this page: http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=hoshame

For the week ending Sat Jan 14 07:07:45 2006 GMT with share of total report volume (25656233). Domain summary includes only hosts from top 200.

It is probably a combination of things. It looks like they always use the last 7 days and SpamCop is not listed in the top 73 as I write this.

I'm sure people report legitimate bounce messages (send from spamcop to an invalid address and report the resulting bounce generated by spamcop's server). Though looking at this test, that might not get "reported" in the normal sense. http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z857824371z34...b97d3418b303cez

Another example is the "SpamCop encountered errors email reply: http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z857847155z31...1f2688062bce13z
