"Couldn't parse head" -- not my fault?

I am getting a number of "couldn't parse head" errors on quick-reports. Example:

Original spam: http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=gettrac...rtid=1683400875

Parse report: http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z892983795zf4...4eef722ac57994z

I understand what this error presumably means. From inspection of the pages above, I can detect only one possible error: it appears that the line "X-AntiAbuse:" has been split. However, I don't understand who split it.

It was, of course, not split in the original spam I received.

It was not split in the quick-report which is still in my Sent mailbox.

And when I resend that report, changing the recipient from SpamCop to myself, what arrives in my mailbox is likewise not split. The spam is 100% pristine.

By all appearances, someone between me and SpamCop is splitting this line. Who would be doing this and how can I prevent it?

I use Apple Mail on Mac OS 10.3.9.

Did you confirm this by taking the source from the failing quick report and paste it into the parser, fix it and see if you get the same result?
