Wazoo Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Strangely enough, asking for help in the newsgroups isn't working for a SpamCo.net user that has contributed to the SpamCop FAQ here. So bringing the request here for some help from one of the paid-account types. From: (John E. Malmberg) Newsgroups: spamcop Subject: What is reported for 63.238.179.181? Date: 28 Apr 2006 11:49:16 -0500 Message-ID: <m4kP5HG5wwiM[at]eisner.encompasserve.org> Can a paid member or a deputy post what type of spam has been reported as coming from 63.238.179.181? * SpamCop users have reported system as a source of spam less than 10 times in the past week In the past 466.5 days, it has been listed 5 times for a total of 4.3 days According to what I can see on news.admin.net-abuse.email, in December 2005, a spammer was forging 63.238.179.181 in the headers injected into open proxies, but nothing from mail.qsl.net, it's rdns is showing up. -John wb8tyw[at]qsl.network Personal Opinion Only

Thanks for bringing this up! From: "WazoO" To: "SpamCop Support - JT" Subject: Newgroup Archiving dead again Date: Fri, 28 Apr 2006 17:45:33 -0500 Had a user asking for help in the spamcop newsgroup, wasn't getting what he needed. I reposted his query into the Forum asking someone with a paid-account type to do a look-up. Had an answer within minutes. Posted the Forum pointers to the newsgroup, then was going to cross-link back to the newsgroup archives ... but saw that the spamcop-list archive stopped on the 18th of April. I now recall that the same thing happened the last time there was a major cesmail located issue and you got the archiving thing restarted. Could I ask for a repeat action? Thanks!
