fullnameoralias Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Not sure if I have to create a new topic or add to this one, because my question is sort of related to automatic reporting. I'm trying to report spam by forwarding offending email using OE6.0, and the email does go out and in a second I receive a message from Mail Delivery System <Mailer-Daemon[at]myhosting-here>: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: submit.code-here[at]spam.spamcop.net This message has been rejected because it has a potentially executable attachment " Get equipped with software of the best brands..eml" This form of attachment has been used by recent viruses or other malware. If you meant to send this file then please package it up as a zip file and resend it. [original email follows] Could you help me with this? I'm getting about 50 spam emails a day now, and manually submitting them takes time... Thank you in advance. Moderator Edit: extracted from http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=7263 as the subject metter is not the same at all ....

This is the magic part of the whole question ... and the follow-up question is "where's the rest of the critical parts?" The issue is whether this is being generated right on your own computer or from your ISP ....
fullnameoralias Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 This is the magic part of the whole question ... and the follow-up question is "where's the rest of the critical parts?" The issue is whether this is being generated right on your own computer or from your ISP .... The email appears to have come from <Mailer-Daemon[at]myhosting-here>, where myhosting is a company which hosts my web site and whose SMTP server I'm using to send emails. I wasn't sure if it was them or spamcop who was blocking the email. Looks like I will have to talk to them and see if they allow me to send attachments. Thank you for your help.
