[Resolved] Message transmission failure

Hello

I am receiving this error message every 3 to 4 reports. Confusingly, the refreshed page apparently shows that messages have been sent.

Can't send report: smtpEnd: message transmission failed: 554 #5.3.0 Server Error

Thanks

I am having trouble reporting spam to spamcop today and receive the same error as the previous poster.

In my case I am using my submit email address to send spam to and I get a failure notice email back:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at cactus.freezone.co.uk.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Same here. Getting the error when I use the 'Report this message as spam' function, not manual reporting.

This is the Postfix error I reported to Don last night. No response yet.

It started yesterday.

As Farelf reported, the 'only' official words on this is Ellen's post .. hours after this started being reported in the newsgroups. The issue is a connection problem between the Parsing & Reporting systems and the outgoing e-mail servers involved .. all these assets are IronPort owned, maintained systems.

The way these things got handled in the past .... actual issue wil be resolved, errors go away, and everyone forgets that it happened .... the reality is that the IronPort folks will eventually generate an 'Engneering Report' that will get submitted through channels, received by folks that state "Engineering Reports are gobbeltygook" .. so the contents never get passed on the mere users ....

Much in contrast to my remarks above;

The problems from earlier today/last night are now resolved and spam

should be processing correctly.
