Wazoo
From the SpamCop Email System News web-page; Aug 6, 2008 [00:13 EDT] We are aware the Hotmail/MSN is bouncing or delaying some emails sent to it from us. We're working on this issue, but Hotmail makes themselves pretty hard to deal with. In general, we don't recommend using Hotmail for important emails. Like other Forum users, this page isn't normally seen .... the link on the www.spamcop.net web-page hasn't been updated in ages, so there was no reference there to this 'new' news. Results: folks sending e-mail upstream to advise of the problem, me making a phone call to advise of the issue .. all pretty much a waste of everyone's time. Trevor finally made a post at http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?...ost&p=66012 stating; Some spammers managed to send a few thousand messages out of a SpamCop account yesterday, and Hotmail over-reacted with how long they put us on their blacklists for. It is a temporary problem that will clear itself up, but we have no input from Hotmail as to how long it will take. Generally it takes 24-48 hours. Hard to not read that as yet another bit of an idiot falling for the phish e-mails .. geeze ... Apologies for the lateness of this post, but ... life isn't always a smooth road, and finding the time to have keyboard at hand with an actual internet connection sometimes just isn't in the cards.
