  1. thanks, petzl I think you've cracked the code for me. cheers Jim J
  2. thanks for the quick response. maybe I posted in the wrong place. I care not about submitting spam. I just want to download email from spamcop to Outlook. I'm happy to to go webmail to flag spam if it gets through. any other ideas?
  3. can someone point me to Outlook 2007 setup instructions? I assume they exist but search has not produced them. Thanks. JEJ
  4. Thanks very much. Now I see how I inadvertently add my name to my whitelist. That should make matter much better. [Moved from How to use .... Instructions, Tutorials > SpamCop Forum]
  5. I have read here that the FromAddressForgery is pretty much impossible to solve. Some time ago a poster suggested I check to see if my address was in my whitelist. It was. It continues to show up there, but not by my doing. Don't know if these two are related. But how does this happen? Is it part of the forgery problem? what should could I do about it? Thanks much.
  6. my email notifications from Vonage that I have a voicemail keep getting filtered as spam. each email is different bec the name is the phone number (e.g., 888-555-1212[at]vm.vonage.com). Therefore I've added the domain "[at]vm.vonage.com" to my whitelist; but it continues to be snagged. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
  7. It was confusing and that's why I apologized for the for it. At first I thought the first referred to the Outlook whitelist. Thanks again. Jim J. Moderatr Edit: Deleted unnecessary quoted material, shifted quoted material above the reply
  8. I must apologize for making this more difficult than it should have been. It turns out the first advice I got to remove my email from my whitelist did in fact solve the problem. Thanks to all for suggestions. hammerlock
  9. Let me try to clarify my question. First, let's forget the Outlook question. I checked--my email address is not in my Spamcop Whitelist. In Spamcop's webmail the From address appears as "To: jejohn[at]cesmail.net". I receive 10 or so per day and have repeatedly reported them as spam. Apparently to no avail. Again, my email address is not on my whitelist. When it arrives at my Outlook the "To:" prefix is not there. Thanks for your patience. [edit, excess whitespace and duplicate quote removed]
  10. Thanks for the reply. Yes. The email appears in my SpamCop InBox but my description was incomplete. As you can see from the snip below the email is From "To: jejohn[at]cesmail.net" The "To" is important I assume. ----------------------------------------------------------- Personal 209 Unknown Date To: jejohn[at]cesmail.net Dear jejohn[at]cesmail.net 88% 0FF on Pfizer ! 11. I have two possibly related issues: First, I continue to get many spam emails that are "from" my spamcop address. I've spam-listed them in my spamcop InBox but to no avail. Secondly, my [at]cesmail.net address is always put in Junk by Outlook (2007). I've repeatedly taken it from the blocked senders list and indicated it as "safe". For example, if I CC myself on an email, the CC ends up in my Junk folder. I've tried searching but can't match the problem. where should I look or better yet, how do I remedy this? Thanks. Jim J
  12. I get Rx emails (3-4 per day) and they seem to make their way through spamcop and my Outlook Junk filter. I"ve reported them 15-20 times from webmail but to no avail. is there a way to get this filtered? Note the line that says it is whitelisted--?? Thanks very much. the header (?) info is as follows: Return-Path: <jejohansen[at]c2i.net> Delivered-To: cesmail-net-jejohn[at]cesmail.net Received: (qmail 12799 invoked from network); 20 Feb 2008 11:45:57 -0000 X-spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.2.3 (2007-08-08) on filter8 X-spam-Level: ***************** X-spam-Status: hits=17.2 tests=DYN_RDNS_SHORT_HELO_HTML,HTML_IMAGE_ONLY_32, HTML_MESSAGE,MIME_HTML_ONLY,MISSING_DATE,RDNS_DYNAMIC,SARE_UNI,URIBL_AB_SURBL, URIBL_BLACK,URIBL_JP_SURBL,URIBL_OB_SURBL,URIBL_SC_SURBL,URIBL_WS_SURBL version=3.2.3 Received: from unknown (192.168.1.107) by filter8.cesmail.net with QMQP; 20 Feb 2008 11:45:57 -0000 Received: from host-89-230-207-198.lublin.mm.pl (HELO dom-be454d26236) (89.230.207.198) by mx70.cesmail.net with SMTP; 20 Feb 2008 11:45:57 -0000 X-Mailer: CME-V6.5.4.3; MSN Return-Path: communications_msn_cs_enus[at]cimail15.msn.com Received: (qmail 5636 by uid 619); Wed, 20 Feb 2008 12:44:42 +0100 Message-Id: <20080220134442.5638.qmail[at]dom-be454d26236> To: <jejohn[at]cesmail.net> Subject: February 70% OFF From: <jejohn[at]cesmail.net> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="ISO-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-SpamCop-Checked: X-SpamCop-Disposition: Blocked SpamAssassin=17 X-SpamCop-Whitelisted: jejohn[at]cesmail.net <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html dir="ltr">
  13. Thanks Waz and Steve. I cleared the cache and logged into mail again and it worked. We'll never know if it was my new screen name or Steve's idea of clearing the cache. Wazoo--btw, in the old post re the Treo email etc the issue was never resolved. I found email via the Treo too tedious for minor convenience (for me) so I don't use the feature.
  14. I've tried to reach webmail on two different machines, one with win 2k the other xp. both have been rebooted in the last 24 hours. I go to www.webmail.spamcop.net which takes me to http://webmail.spamcop.net/horde/imp/login.php a page asks for login info. I enter it and get to a page http://webmail.spamcop.net/horde/imp/mailb...p?mailbox=INBOX the page is completely white. I've done this with Explorer 7, maxthon 1,6 and Firefox 2.0.0.5 browsers with zone alarm disabled. I do go through a wireless router. btw--I've sent wazoo a request for a new screen name.
