ptwithy
In Safari, when I try to click on the 'Check All' link on the http://mailsc.spamcop.net/reportheld?action=heldlog page, nothing happens. If I turn on logging of java scri_pt exceptions, I get the following error: :2: TypeError - Value undefined (result of expression checkAll) is not object. Cannot be called. This just started happening on 21 June 2004.
mb@spamcop.net
Safari, for those who don't know, is Apple's OS X web browser. I would suggest that you use OS X Internet Explorer v5.2 with SpamCop as I too have encountered various errors using various features of Spamcop using Safari. Although Safari is a great browser, Apple is still working on making it 100 percent compatible. By the way, you should also make sure your running the latest version of Java on your system. zachariah
I would suggest Camino or Firefox (or the Mozilla Suite) instead of IE (which has been discontinued and doesn't even completely support all of the HTML spec) (edit: links added)
turetzsr
<snip> instead of IE (which has been discontinued <snip>) ...Are you certain? I see no evidence of that: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx.
zachariah
unless something's changed this past year: no more for mac: http://maccentral.macworld.com/news/2003/06/13/explorer/ no more for windows (as standalone): from Microsoft's website (May 7, 2003), an Interview with Brian Countryman, Program Manager in Internet Explorer: Q: when / will there be the next version of IE? A: As part of the OS, IE will continue to evolve, but there will be no future standalone installations. IE6 SP1 is the final standalone installation. (edit: added more evidence)

The thread starter is currently using safari, which is a mac browser. He was recommended to use ie for the mac. So, saying ie is discontinued (in the context of the thread) was just what I wanted to say. if you wanted to point out that the information on the state of ie in windows was superfluous, you were correct -- it had nothing to do with this thread

I guess what I was expecting was something along the lines of "IE for Mac has been discontinued." Assuming IIUC.
