Easy to continue spamvertised website

With domain name registration procedures of today at registrars,

every spamreport costs the spamvertised website owners a registration fee of a few bucks.

For about a small year I have seen in my inbox about 150 spamvertisements for the same betting company.

On every link on their webpage I see a program.exe download. I bet a worm is included to harvest zombies for their spam, websitelocations and emailadress mining.

At peak times they spamvertise about four new domain names per day for the same page.

Today I phoned a registrar known for quality in my country and heard that it is possible to register a domain name with a fake name/address and that that procedure is an issue at an ICANN discussion in the Czech Republic, probably not coïncidentally the country where the registrar of the website is located.

Boys and girls, the spam fight is getting boring for me today.

Repoting spam works form

After yaers of not using a old Hotmail account I started reporting spam that ended up in its "junk" folder.

It pretty quickly went down to one kiddie porn spammer (defined as under 18 or made to look under 18). This fiend was sending 10 or more spams a day managed to chase the site out of Germany then the Netherlands then the UK.

Still sending around 10 a day, from a safe home in Holland, which would not look or react to SpamCop reports.

I and another SpamCop reporter both reported the spammer through here.

Since then back to one or two a day pharmacy spam?

The pharmacy spam is able to hide from a SpamCop look up, always using devnull mail source.

This indicates S/He does not like reports.

So I do a manual getting better than SpamCop report. Often using Chrome to translate but seems to have an effect.

The spam increases at first (spammer is trying to listwash me) then it starts dying off

Sometimes you have to work at killing a spammer !

But I find it fun pulling their lowlife wings off and are good at it

...If only that were true! Unfortunately, there are a few things that suggest it isn't:
  • Spamvertizing continues; if it cost money, surely the website owners would take more effective measures to shut it down and avoid it.
  • As far as I know, domain registrars are not normally included as recipients of SpamCop reports.
