Update 2: outage

The system is up and operational and delivering mail.

Please note: we were issuing 4.x.x (temporary failure) replies to servers attempting to deliver mail during the outage. The is *standard* SMTP protocol and indicates to the sending server that it is to queue mail and try again later. It is the sending server responsibility to retry to deliver and properly configured sending servers will continue to try for several days - 4 days appears to be a common setting.
