Problem loggin in with HTTP Auth

With the new password scheme I'm only able to log into SpamCop's reporting features using the cookie login. The HTTP Authorization, using the exact same username[at]spamcop.net and password, gives me a 401 error.

I logged into the webmail and changed my password there but that didn't fix it. Anyone have any ideas?

I use the Spamcup scri_pt to report spam so this causes a bit of a problem. I get ~200 pieces a day (that either make it past SpamCop or don't get forwarded through), without Spamcup I can usually only click the report link about 10 time before my patience wears out.

Do you enter http://members.spamcop.net/ and wait for the login-screen or do you enter your creditials like this:

http://<your_e-mailaddress>:<password>[at]members.spamcop.net/ ? If so, did you replace the at-sign in your address with %40 ?

Edit: Do you realise the mail-system and reporting-system are separate entities? See also http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1001

I've tried it both ways with no luck.

Yeah, I'd read that. I just wanted to be clear what worked with what.

I have no experience with users of the spamcop-mail-system, so I don't think I can help you very much from here. Only two things I want to suggest. Do you try to login using a 'spamcop.net'-address? Do you know of any other address you signed up with originally? Second, have you tried to do the same on an other machine/platform, so you can rule out any local security-settings.

yeah, i logon using drewish(at)spamcop.net (i don't really want to spell it out because i don't need any more spam to report).

i've tried using other other browser on other machines with no luck.

what is strange to me is that i can loging using HTTP auth to mailsc.spamcop.net but not members.spamcop.net.
