Baz
I have recently joined Spamcop and it is working well however in the last 2 days I have recieved two emails from my own email address but using an unknown name neither of which I sent. When I clicked on the Properties it listed my email address. Is this common if so how do I stop it. Presumably if I blacklist the sender all my own mail will be blacklisted. dra007
The address is almost always forged. If you see yours it simply means that it found its way on spammers' lists. You may start getting annoying bounces and viruses but otherwise you are safe. What gets reported and blocked is the IP of spam/fraud/scam origin. Now it's time to start learning the basics of parsing headers and tracking those who will continue to harass you for a long time to come!
