For example, spammers can set up Trojans to send spam to users ‘spoofed’ to be from legitimate IP addresses. The address is reported and denied service;

And how exactly does one spoof an IP address in what must be a two-way conversation between servers by design? Methinks this person is mixing up his terms badly, or is a PR guy that has little or no understanding of the actual SMTP process.
