technojoe
I hate airing out other peoples' dirty laundry, but this is causing a considerable amount of concern due to the number of people effected. I want to give everyone a heads up on something easy to check in case their submitted email is not parsing correctly. spamass-milter 0.3.1 has a regression error causing it to incorrectly parse 'Received' headers. This has been fixed. Users are encouraged to upgrade to the latest CVS version or downgrade to 0.3.0. Details below. From: spamass-milter bug report #17178 Bug #17178: Regression error between 0.3.0 and 0.3.1 parsing 'Received' headers. ... spamass-milter erroneously removes the semi-colon seperating the date at the end of a 'Received' header from the rest of the header. This is a significant because it causes spam reporting sites (e.g. spamcop) to reject spam reports as not having a valid date. ... It is important to note that spamass-milter-0.3.0 parsed without these errors, and the versions of sendmail and spamassion were the same for both tests. The only variable that changed was the version of spamass-milter.
