I have setup my machine to use it and the first test went through with no problem.
Would you like comments here or direct email?

Not true, anyone can use one of these addresses to register their domain, sometimes for legitimate reasons (If my domain is expired, how will I get email to account[at]mydomain if that is my only email account?) And spamcop does go as far as the registration info to find reporting addresses.I know you can untick specific addresses, but surely anything [at]gmail.com or [at]hotmail.com or [at]geocities.com that isn't abuse[at] or postmaster[at] is fake, the parser should be smart enough to discard anything that is obviously fake.Searching for specific strings (daffyduck) would be a terible procedure to start doing just for the overall speed of the parsing.

I think it's time spamcop updated the personal whitelist manager to become more user-friendly.
I have 51 pages in my personal whitelist, with only 15 people on each page. I should be allowed to specify how many entries are displayed on each page.
When I delete an entry, it always returns me to the first page. It should reload the last page from which I deleted the entry.
There should be a fast way to jump straight to a desired page, without editing the URL in the addrss box.
This has been asked for several times, the last only 5 threads down... this should be moved to that thread. http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3734
It would be nice to change it, but there does not appear to be much work being done on changes right now... only increased disk space, etc.

Recently I got in a hurry and didn't pay attention to what I was doing and whitelisted & released a bunch of spam from my held mail folder. I'm slowly deleting the bad whitelist entries, but it would be nice if ...
You are not the first person to ask this. There is likely a thread in the New Features but I was unable to locate one immediately. A moderator will likely move this thread into that group, possibly into an appropriate thread.
That being said, I'm not sure how much of the whitelist capability is home built and how much uses IMP (the webmail application).

I am a paying customer of the Email service which gets me an included reporting account. Having been here for several years now, do not hold your breath waiting "to let us know whether this is going to be fixed, and if not, why not." In general, you will know if it has been fixed when it starts working differently.

Check the setting: Log into http://www.spamcop.net/
Preferences tab, Report Handling Options, 3rd party report default, Send by default?
Have not heard of any recent change in this, other than perhaps your default changed somehow (glitch)?

BTW, Wazoo, How do you edit an announcement. It does not provide an edit button (to fix the "double negative" of the original post which has been fixed elsewhere.

Per a posting found at http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=5250 ...
To be honest, I've read this a number of times and am not sure I see what "the change" is ... beyond a different type of 'warning/request" ...??? just passing it on ....
I agree...maybe they got a complaint about the warning and decided to pop up a "are you really sure".
Glad to see we are not the only ones who have trouble with people reading what we write.

Is this the spamcop email system you are trying to filter them with or some other system?
If it is spamcop and you post a tracking URL, we should be able to help you create the blacklist entry. Reporting does not add to your blacklist.
People have different opinions about reporting things you signed up for and later tried to cancel. Your single report vs. the number of valid messages being sent will probably never get the IP listed on spamcop, but it might catch the attention of someone there who can help.

It would also be nice if it were possible to add names to the white list from within the web mail interface
Those functions are currently available from the Held Mail folder of webmail. I agree that they should probably be added (with confirmations) to the new version of webmail when the customizations are done.

Bill:
I would definitely retreive that message and bring this to the attention of the deputies as I'm sure they would like to know why a text only list of messages was tagged as a virus. What virus did it detect?
Bringing it to the attention of Earthlink would not be a bad idea either.
Beta Test Outgoing SMTP AUTH
in SpamCop Email System & Accounts

I have tested both default and alternate ports. Gonna leave the alternate since I use this machine from work once in a while and port 25 is blocked there.
