Just got this back from Digital Ocean. It seems to be saying it's just going to ignore the mail from Spamcop. That is, assuming that Spamcop isn't already sending some new deely-bopper reporting format that I've never seen before, and have no idea whether they do or not. Now what?

One needs to report websites to a Registrar not the IP it resides on!
SpamCop just identifies the IP of the IP it is presently residing on.
I use this free Windows APP to find registrar.

    1. I login to Spamcop & copy the email address given to forward spam to SC.

    2. I forward to SC as attachment.

    3. I receive email back from SC saying it's been accepted as spam and to log in to resubmit.

    4. I log in and am prompted to submit again.  I submit again and get told the spam is now too old.

    5. Is the reporting system really this cumbersome?  Or is the message to submit everything twice simply wrong or is it something I'm missing?

    Thanks.

Help if you showed a SpamCop track if possible.
If not just the headers (no spam body) removing your email address with a X
Often when sending spam from broken email servers they fall over, after awhile (days) someone reboots the server and it starts spewing the spam it accumulated days before

Seems to be working for me and staying logged in. Maybe that it got fixed since the post. Last time I had a security issue as described, I had tried to login with two different computers side by side at the same time.

Might only affect paid SpamCop members?

Strange don't happen with me, I just get the headers and body from Yahoo's web page
My mailhost is set posted from Google which don't accept SpamCop reports and told me so
Finds the sending IP no trouble?

SpamCop does not report domains to the Registrar only the IP pf the domain who will do nothing!
You have to report Domains to registrar yourself from your own email account you received it from!
I use this free Windows program for domains

Why does spamcop think this is not hosted anywhere?

    A ping for

    http://www.umkhn.ipeaet.com/
    179.60.149.187
    info@vds4you.ru

There are several possible reasons for this:
The site involved may not want reports from SpamCop.
SpamCop administrators may have decided to stop sending reports to the site to prevent listwashing.
SpamCop uses internal routeing to contact this site, only knows about the internal method and so cannot provide an externally-valid email address.
There may be no working email address to receive reports.
In any case you need to post to the registrar Namecheap, I clicked the link don't open (not resolve) so may already be taken down

    just to clarify:
127.0.0.1 is a so-called loopback address, which resides in the machine itself.
in other words: every computer system, small or large, has a 127.0.0.1 address, which is its own address (loopback to itself).
that address in the received: header only means that it got the email from itself using the loopback.

That's one reason why SC ignores that address, because it knows that it can safely ignore it and get the next (previous) received: line

I go to the Yahoo email "Web mail" site get my headers there, not yet had a problem with parsing spam.
As a result I rarely get spam.
If you are downloading this "Web mail" with your own program, mark leave and mark read. Then get you headers direct?

    Me too!

Apple is blocking SpamCop emails as well to iCloud accounts.

Any impacted iCloud users are (per the Apple Support advisor I spoke with) encouraged to call also Apple support and let them know, just in case it takes a long time to get Spamcop off the SpamHaus RBL.

SpamCop's NEW email server IP is not listed in SpamHauas, Apple must have different blocking method?

Oh, I think that's different. I get those to my domain from time to time, that's just your regular crypto threat-phishing email.

You have done this? They want it from the/your email address that received it!
I looked at thee links they were already removed from the time you posted here?

I have my system set up to forward spam to SpamCop, which I did earlier today and was expecting to get report notifications. When I didn't, I logged in and I saw that my system had bounced mail from SpamCop. I didn't see what had gone wrong at first, because the error message was incomplete, and I saw that the only report I had in the queue was a bit of spam from 4 days ago.

Now I'm getting bogus spam threats so spammers have read about the glitch!

HOW and WHY?   I don't know what those links are for let alone what I'm suppose to do with them.  And have little to no faith that ANYONE cares.   (Kinda like being on the do not call list and reporting the MANY TIMES I get spam calls.  Useless.)

You need to report to American Cert Federal Agency
    U.S. Department of Homeland Security
there are no working  reporting addresses for 216.137.179.138
You need to FORWARD (include headers and text body) from your email account to "info[AT]us-cert[DOT]gov"

    https://www.usa.gov/federal-agencies/computer-emergency-readiness-team

The other is to send the SC URL

With reason to the blackhat providers "a2webhosting" facebook page telling them they refuse spam/abuse reports?

is this due to an  issue? or did they just stop? does anyone know? I need to start changing a bunch of stuff if there is no intention of resuming.

I changed from one Gmail account to another got the
    [SpamCop] Email Delivery Confirmation
Then sent/clicked the confirmation link. SpamCop got that
Followed with test email to my SpamCop Email.
like all others it did not bounce nor was it forwarded to my Gmail account
Went back to old Gmail account still doesn't work!
Still a issue no one can get any email forwarded by their SpamCop email account!
Have not been able to do so since your Friday "repair"; Aplies to everyone with SpamCop forwarding.

Our apologies. This should all be fixed now, save some propagation.

Last week Ops moved our servers around to new IP addresses. A mistake was made in the SPF record for our main nat IP, 184.94.240.88, listing .89 instead. This resulted in gmail and many other services rejecting mail due to spf fail.

On top of this, the IP ended up on the Spamhaus XBL, resulting in many many more systems rejecting mail from that nat.  The IP has been removed from XBL so any ongoing issues with that are likely cache related.

The SPF record was fixed overnight and I'm seeing system mail into my Gmail account so gmail has opened the gates.  Any other systems with ongoing issues could be propagation or cache related.

Also, my apologies to those that wrote directly over the weekend and did not receive a reply.  I was working with various Talos teams behind the scenes all weekend. But, because the mail answers were coming from the same nat IP, the same systems not accepting system mail or mail forwards also reject my mail.

Does not Forward your SpamCop email to your email account remains still broken.
Tried a new forwarding address got the "[SpamCop] Email Delivery Confirmation"

I did a test to my @spamcop.net over 4 hours ago with no emails forwarded to my .yahoo.com account.
Are only a few people using forwarding?
A long time ago I could get my email at webmail.spamcop.net but had to forward all email to another account after a certain date.
I thought forwarding was the only way to use spamcop.
I would think there would be more spamcop users screaming this is not working.

    Not working for me either!
posted a test 4 hours ago today one yesterday also nothing
