I've been spammed by a lot of people for a lot of different things, but I may say that I've never before been spammed by a magician (tracking link).

The efficacy of the good Academician's methods are suspect when he is reduced to spamming to make a living. Or maybe * impact on human behavior at a distance (the author's method I. Herman) IS spam. In which case, I wish he would enforce his patent and stop all those other infringing bludgers.

Years ago I recall reading an article about a famous old TV mentalist hereabouts, yclept The Amazing Kreskin. Seems T.A.K. was trolling for business, and sent out bulk (postal) mail to previous customers. At least one of these had actually been dead for some time. Unkind critics conjectured that Kreskin should have known about this before sending her survivors the mail, but as we know even psychically-gifted bulk mailers cannot be bothered to remove names from their lists for such trivialities.
