diburning
I am having problems reporting a spam email. I use gmail and the spam was also sent from a gmail email address. I get the error from spamcop saying "No source IP address found, cannot proceed" I know that I have my mailhost configured correctly as I've been using spamcop almost problem free for years. Here is the email header: Delivered-To: diburning[at]gmail.com Received: by 10.216.0.138 with SMTP id 10cs390847web; Mon, 18 Jan 2010 18:22:29 -0800 (PST) Return-Path: <cocoeng79[at]gmail.com> Received-SPF: pass (google.com: domain of cocoeng79[at]gmail.com designates 10.87.9.39 as permitted sender) client-ip=10.87.9.39; Authentication-Results: mr.google.com; spf=pass (google.com: domain of cocoeng79[at]gmail.com designates 10.87.9.39 as permitted sender) smtp.mail=cocoeng79[at]gmail.com; dkim=pass header.i=cocoeng79[at]gmail.com Received: from mr.google.com ([10.87.9.39]) by 10.87.9.39 with SMTP id m39mr9600401fgi.73.1263867748826 (num_hops = 1); Mon, 18 Jan 2010 18:22:28 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:mime-version:received:date:message-id:subject :from:to:content-type; bh=fGH3V9FH+zGlRMeT0HxTk3P6iB0iFGm4yofaO/Bk7Wc=; b=mcZCqwGrL7pSKFA4uSy+suHnEOIZ8MPAiyOxRgeggxaNscKiYlKMXsWMY7QJ0yLCVx j67cli/vLKBgoj1sUS4Cim/0HeAIyITv+f467ionp16uguQExjHTT4C6TmsNLFBS+1sH 7pD2kIdmaJxDWpxnvOaUYjXOhDzs6njuTnNyo= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=mime-version:date:message-id:subject:from:to:content-type; b=rekKRFEY65hqpAJDW5Vy3WkU6e7mtgiM9V/PgCfpiCMR4LB7BDEoDgFUUDW3T6W5t5 iva6zKjrDHfnmL/p2f22RLk8ICiLKIkkPikVPaxo+ttA6lugnDSvmKCrBTvOvhz76kZA hoURzRkHMTV8YJ8KE4JBm6n0B2Am9ViYCw6Lo= MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.87.9.39 with SMTP id m39mr6239585fgi.73.1263867744893; Mon, 18 Jan 2010 18:22:24 -0800 (PST) Date: Mon, 18 Jan 2010 18:22:24 -0800 Message-ID: <c2f715591001181822n84db9ebo5a3435d23cfb0f2a[at]mail.gmail.com> Subject: i have been made to sorry if i sent this to you twice it might work From: coco eng <cocoeng79[at]gmail.com> To: diburning[at]gmail.com, Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=001485f90edefa3eb2047d7b233c Tracking URL HERE. Wazoo
I am having problems reporting a spam email. I use gmail and the spam was also sent from a gmail email address. I get the error from spamcop saying "No source IP address found, cannot proceed" you answered your own question. The e-mail in question never left the GMail server farm, therefore no 'internet' resources were used .... all GMail internal traffic using 'non-routable' IP Addresses. The only way to complain about this type of traffic is to the Hosting service involved, be it GMail to GMail, Yahoo to Yahoo, MSN to MSN, etc.
