wa2ibm
I stopped receiving any incoming mail that was routed through Spamcop (most of my mail is). When I checked my local Domino server log (Pacific Time), I found: 06/03/2011 11:20:11 PM SMTP Server: Remote host 216.154.195.49 (c60.cesmail.net) found in blacklist at safe.dnsbl.sorbs.net 06/03/2011 11:20:11 PM SMTP Server: Message from 216.154.195.49 (c60.cesmail.net) rejected by DNS blacklist filter 06/03/2011 11:20:11 PM SMTP Server: c60.cesmail.net (216.154.195.49) connected 06/03/2011 11:20:16 PM SMTP Server: c60.cesmail.net (216.154.195.49) disconnected. 0 message received I find it rather depressing that the Spamcop outbound servers are in anyone else's blacklist. For now, I'm putting the cesmail servers on my Whitelist. I never thought I'd have to do that.
Farelf
Hmmm ... two recent spam hits recorded by SORBS, also one recent one by backscatterer.org, some (limited) evidence offered in every case. Emailing support. [Additional] notified support[at]spamcop.net and (Case 44794) registered for attention.
Farelf
Nothing new received so 216.154.195.49 cleared from safe.dnsbl.sorbs.net and new.spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net zones IIUC - should be right to go again through anything using either of those two. The return code for 49.195.154.216.spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net is (still) 127.0.0.6 so anyone using the aggregate list will still block the server.
