DuncanK Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Some of our ISPs email servers are listed in the SCBL. The ISP is Paradise.Net.NZ which is one of the largest ISPs here in New Zealand. The IPs in question are 202.0.58.21 and 202.0.58.22 I understand that it has been listed primarily because it has sent to spam traps in the last week, but how do we/they get information on these alleged messages sent to the spam traps? Have the messages come directly from the servers or have they been relayed? For instance, is it possible that one of their cable users has a trojan proxy which is relaying through their mail servers? I would very much doubt that spam is being sent directly from one of these servers. But then again, NZ has yet to put together some proper spam laws. Cheers, Duncan Kinnear
StevenUnderwood Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 how do we/they get information on these alleged messages sent to the spam traps? The administrators/abuse desk for those IP's should email deputies<at>spamcop.net and ask for information to help the investigation.
