kgould
Folks, I believe I have detected a spammer who is aware of SpamCop's 3 day age limit test and is using a technique to avoid being trapped by SpamCop. I don't know where, or to whom, I should advise this. I can provide a fresh example of such an eMail and also still have a number of older examples. dra007
I have mentioned a similar phenomenon in my threads...repeats of spams that come in 48h to 3 days cycle....
Spambo
SpamCop uses the date/time stamp inserted by the final destination's mail server to determine the age of spam. Unless YOUR provider's mail server is b0rken and the parser is forced to discard the headers it adds there is nothing the spammer can do to influence the date the parser determines that the spam was received. Post some headers, or a Tracking URL, from a spam that the parer rejects as too old and someone can probably tell you what the problem is.
