gw1500se
I am trying to automate reporting spam by redirecting it. Since redirection keeps the headers in tact, I thought spamcop could handle it. However, the spam is being returned with an error. I know that the sender (wtriker.ffe[at]gmail.com) is not the same as the recipient (i_was_yah00ed[at]yahoo.com) of the original spam. Is that the cause of the error (I need to figure out why that is happening anyway) or is there an inherent problem doing this with a redirect? TIA. gnarlymarley
I am trying to automate reporting spam by redirecting it. Since redirection keeps the headers in tact, I thought spamcop could handle it. However, the spam is being returned with an error. The submit address can only have the email submitted as an attachment. You would need to forward as an attachment to get it to work.
SpamCopAdmin
Redirecting won't work. Use "forward" or "forward as attachment." SpamCop will look for the spam that is inside your email to your "submit" address. Or SpamCop will look for a spam that is attached to your email. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
