daslicht
Hi, why do I get more and more spam after starting to report spam mails ? I am now at ~ 72 spam Mails / Night Cheers Marc
gare
I am not a spam expert like the people who run this site, but I too notice an increase but then a sudden drop-off. I have heard that when a report is made OUR information is made available but we can never get THEIR information. So, my personal opinion is they use our information up until their hosting server is blocked due to complaints. I think that ultimately, you too will see a drop, I sure hope so anyway, otherwise this would be a pointless exercise.
daslicht
Thank you for the answer ! Spammers should not be provided with our email addresses !
Lking
What is "mole" reporting?
daslicht
Become a "mole" - Don't even send reports (mostly pointless) So it has no effect at all ? why to use that option in that case at all?
Lking
The primary objective of SpamCop is building the SCBL that is used by ISP to help filter their clients incoming email. Ever submitted spam plus those received by spam traps are used to identify the source and add or retain the IP on the SCBL.
