rdgrimes Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I've seen a huge drop in the volume of spam I'm getting. Over the past few days or so. Has anybody else noticed this? Wonder if this a widespread trend, or if somone upstream has introduced a spam filter. (like my hosting company for my domains that filter through SC)
dbiel Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 You may want to refer to a previous thread on the same subject Weird I am still wondering the same thing - Where as all the email gone?
Merlyn Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 We have over a 700% increase but we don't see it because it goes into the bitbucket. If you miss it we can redirect a few thousand.
dra007 Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 I've got the first notices from msn that they removed some spammers...my hotmail spam has certainly dropped dramatically... Unfortunately the drop is never consistent or complete once you made it on several spammers’ lists. Not even telling yourself "one spammer at a time" can be consoling...

Spammers are like cockroaches, you kill one and there are a thousand more hiding in the walls. We need a really big can of Raid! Or, more ISP's using SpamCop. ...Ken
rdgrimes Posted August 9, 2004 Author Posted August 9, 2004 I heard back on an inquirey to my web host, who confirmed that they have added some filtering, and will be adding more. Nice! And about damn time. BTW, it's serve.com (datarealm)
