Received via a relay in bl.spamcop.net

Hi,

When testing my emails using https://www.mail-tester.com/ I notice that sometimes my test emails get a negative score from:

-1.246 RCVD_IN_BL_SPAMCOP_NET Received via a relay in bl.spamcop.net

What exactly does "Received via a relay in bl.spamcop.net" mean?

And is there a way of stopping it or at least improving the odds that I don't get this negative mark against my outbound email? I notice that I only get this on some emails, so it isn't something specifically against my server or DNS settings. However there appears to be no ryhme or reason to it. Very similar mails sometimes get it sometimes don't...

Thanks,

I checked out the site and this appears to be coming from the SpamAssassin section.  It really means "IP listed in bl.spamcop.net".  This means your outbound IP is/was listed in bl.spamcop.net.  See what petzl said to look up your email server's IP on bl.spamcop.net.
