Hi,

I know there are many ways to protect yourself against spam.

But last week someone send alot of spam and used my e-mail address as senders-address.

I certainly did not send the spam, nor was my PC used to send the spam.

All the bounced spam-mails are now send to my e-mail address.

What can I do about his?

And how can ik make sure the person which send the spam is punished for his/hers actions?

Thnx

Hi!

Sadly, you are another victim of the spammers.

The good news is that you are in great company. Many readers of these forums have suffered like you and almost all will confirm that the problem is generally short-lived.

Typically, the use of your Email address lasts only a short time and the process moves on to using some other unfortunate person's Email address.

There is really is very little you can do as the use of your address is likely to have been achieved by a software program rather than a deliberate conscious act by an individual.

Delete the bounced messages - perhaps even use an incoming mail filter to automate hat process for you and within a day or two you should see everything back to normal.

Andrew
