spamterminator Posted February 26, 2004 Posted February 26, 2004 Ok sometimes spamcop does 1 lookup on a ROOT domain i.e spamdomain.com But spammers are using blabalbaldhdhdhdh.spamdomain.com Now spamdomain.com points to 61.61.61.2 And blabalbaldhdhdhdh.spamdomain.com 24.24.24.24 Spamcop does not ever do a lookup to see if the subdomain ip is different. I belive the spammer has setup a *.domain.com but then also made manual records. In this case all reports go to the wrong place. Is this a spamcop error or what?
Wazoo Posted February 26, 2004 Posted February 26, 2004 Not saying it can't / isn't done, but something like this would be much easier discussed by seeing some definitive examples, so that any research time would be productive, i.e., getting to items that could / should be manually entered into some internal SpamCop lookup tables for specific routings.
