ahz Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Usually spamcom recognizes web URLs, but it doesn't see the one in this spam: http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z836905119z68...5801a98cea3eafz A bug in spamcop?
btech Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 That particular link doesn't have any reporting address: http://mailsc.spamcop.net/sc?track=http%3A...barrierllc.info If the parser doesn't catch the link, manually check it to see if there are any reporting addresses. If yes, then hit "REFRESH" in your browser; otherwise ignore the link.
Wazoo Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Usually spamcom recognizes web URLs, but it doesn't see the one in this spam: http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z836905119z68...5801a98cea3eafz A bug in spamcop? 37233[/snapback] As far as "a bug" goes, FAQ entries exist that talk to the resolving of URLs, many other Topics and discussion exist within this Forum abut this "problem" .... http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=showhis...id;val=75434369 shows that some reports have been generated against that URL ... I see no Content-Type: lines in the header of your spam sample ???? 12/05/05 15:47:30 Slow traceroute biobarrierllc.info Trace biobarrierllc.info failed, no such host http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.c...barrierllc.info [ERROR: The parent servers say that the domain biobarrierllc.info does not exist.] So, as seen in the parse, that web-site (currently) does not exist, therefore, nothing (no one) to report (to) Positive spon on this situation ... previous complaints caused the ISP to remove this site from the net .... you were just a bi slow in getting your complaint sent <g>
