pjoules
Some messages have been refused by my mailserver in the past couple of weeks but others are getting through. My hosting provider says that this is because of an apostrophe in the sending server name - 'c60.cesmail.net - as seen in the error below. Could someone please comment on this before I get back to them on this issue? Example message: (spamfree[at]joules.org is the mailbox to which SpamCop forwards filtered messages) From: "Mail Delivery System" <MAILER-DAEMON[at]c60.cesmail.net> To: <Tim.Jury[at]breakdowndirect.co.uk> Sent: Friday, January 06, 2006 11:57 AM Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Failure) > The following message to <spamfree[at]joules.org> was undeliverable. > The reason for the problem: > 5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'c60.cesmail.net [216.154.195.49] is currently not permitted to relay\nthrough this server. Perhaps you have not logged into the pop/imap server\nin the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP Authentication turned on in your\nemail client.' Wazoo
the apostrophe wasn't included in the forst part of your posted data .. so not sure why it's existing in the error message ... need some more data from this side of the screen ... such as an actual header with the extra character involved.
