jongrose Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 GENEVA (Reuters) - The Internet's key site identity system is in mounting danger from new techniques that could cause havoc by turning it into a free-for-all market, the World Intellectual Property Organization WIPO warned on Monday. Full Story Looks like they're more concerned with trademark infringement than spammers, but I think it's doubtful that most of the problem is not coming from "cyber-squatters", as alleged by the WIPO.
Wazoo Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Just saw the issue raised a day or so ago .... standing behind a person, watching a URL get typed in from memory .... mis-spelled three different ways, but each mis-spelled attempt ended up resolving to the same web-page .... This Domain for sale!!!!
