Estonia incurred the wrath of the Russians by moving a Soviet memorial to the fallen in "the great patriotic war" (WW 2) from the Tallinn (Estonia's capital) city center to a military cemetery. The Russians feel slighted, their sacrifices denigrated, the Estonians want to put the Soviet occupation behind them and are deeply offended by Russian reminders of their former subjugation.
