97wilson Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Hello folks, I've received eight emails with the subject "failure notices" and the sender is "MAILER-DAEMON[at]mx53.cesmail.net ". This is the first paragraph of each email: "Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mx53.cesmail.net. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <ver.97wilson+spamcop.net-1179598862-21e0517a54f05657aa12bc8804bnnxnn[at]spam.spamcop.net>: 204.15.82.27 failed after I sent the message. Remote host said: 554 #5.3.0 Server Error" --- Below this line is a copy of the message. At this point the email I submitted for reporting as spam is listed. Any ideas of what happened and what I need to do (resubmit?)? Thank you
Miss Betsy Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 There were server problems yesterday and early today, but according to reports they are all fixed. I would try submitting again and if it still doesn't go, then maybe there is another problem. Let us know. Miss Betsy
Wazoo Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Nice and confusing .. coming in so long after the fact <g> I've received eight emails with the subject "failure notices" and the sender is "MAILER-DAEMON[at]mx53.cesmail.net ". This is one of JT's machines, east coast U.S. telling you that it saw an issue with trying to 'send' e-mail. Remote host said: 554 #5.3.0 Server Error" Trace 204.15.82.27 ... 72.5.11.253 RTT: 89ms TTL:170 (No rDNS) 204.15.80.50 RTT: 77ms TTL:170 (204-15-80-50.ironport.com ok) 204.15.82.27 RTT: 80ms TTL: 48 (vmx1.spamcop.net ok) IronPort stuff is on the west coast U.S., hardware owned and maintained by IronPort .. which is where the problem "was" ...... As Miss Betsy states, that 'problem' was resolved some time ago. See http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8301
