cerij101
Is there any reason I don't get notifications of e-mails sent to me with a virus attached any longer? I recently had an e-mail containing a virus sent to my Spamcop address and a non-Spamcop address. The e-mail didn't arrive to my Spamcop address but neither did I get a notification telling me it had been quarantined - I'm sure I used to get these. I checked my settings in Spamcop Tools and the Virus Notification box is checked.
StevenUnderwood
What I know: During one of the larger outbreaks (probably around last summer) those were turned off because the notifications were overwhelming the server. What I believe: Since then, they have not had many complaints about not receiving notifications that they have left it off. Hope someone can confirm/deny these statements. Jeff G.
I can confirm believing the same information on the basis of JT's posts, but I don't remember the timeframe. It should be in the spamcop.mail archives.
