kblack
No matter if I forward the entire spam message to my assigned SpamCOP forward to address given on signup, or if I post the headers and spam body to the little form on the site, it errors.. I just keep getting messages back from the service saying: SpamCop encountered errors while saving spam for processing: SpamCop could not find your spam message in this email: However, it's very clearly spam. I mean some of them even had vulgar words, and other uncool stuff. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help, or insight that you might offer... ~K Black Costa Mesa, Ca. StevenUnderwood
You do not mention what software you use to read your email so the best place to start would probably be: How do I get my email program to reveal the full, unmodified email? If after reading through that page and following the directions for your software, please ask any follow-up questions here. If the directions for your mail software are not included, please also include that information in your follow-up message.

That error generally means that you are not forwarding the email in a format that is usable by the parser. If you're using OE (as opposed to just 'Outlook') or Mozilla/Netscape you should be able to solve the problem by forwarding the spams 'as attachment'. Forwarding 'inline' or 'quoted' adds characters to the original source code that aren't actually present, and these additional characters cause the parser not to see the original source code. turetzsr
Hi, K, ...And on the web-based submission, you might try the so-called "two-part form" AKA the Outlook/Eudora workaround. Look for a link labeled "Select outlook/eudora workaround form".
MyNameHere
Look, folks, I've gotten the same result 5 times this evening, and I'm using Spamcop webmail, submitting using the "Report as spam" link. After I get the error email, I look and lo, the spam has returned to my Held Mail box. And this has occasionally happened to me before. One time, I just kept submitting it and after several tries it actually worked. So, can someone explain how this is not a Spamcop system problem?
