Dealing with SurveyMonkey spam

SurveyMonkey themselves do not spam, they are contracted to conduct survey's on behalf of clients who request them.

Everyone gets a bad apple every now and then:


The problem with the above is that it's going to a ISP who is report-disabled, why, I don't know.

However, I contacted SurveyMonkey themselves, and they dealt with it in a very timely manner:

So, as suggested, I emailed the offending message to the above email address, and it was handled promptly.

Thank you very much for your contact! We take Spamming of any kind very seriously and have taken a number of steps over the past year to increase our security and prevent these types of forms from being created.

We have a number of Phishing preventions put in place, but unfortunately are not able to prevent all of them, so recipient feedback is an important part of keeping our system clean.

If you see any more of these types of forms or if you know of any blogs/message boards, please let us know and we will be happy to investigate!

I have cleared all responses and deleted the forms associated with this account. We have also blocked the account and flagged it for phishing so that we can prevent this user from such action in the future.

As a suggestion, I recommended that they get themselves listed as an interested third party so they can get a report when someone does this again.
