SpamCop report: http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z445654034ze0...5b89a38e818fe9z

Missed URL: www.evergreenwholesaledist.info

Complete url: http://ads.msn.com/ads/adredir.asp?image=/...f_id=bivk229uie

Am I missing something in why SpamCop wants to LART msn.com instead of the host for EvergreenWholesaleDist.info????

If MSN stops the redirect this makes the spam worthless.  MSN will also have better luck getting the jerks taken down as I am sure their legal department acts upon abuse of their systems.........

Then why does SpamCop not report it to 'em? SpamCop refuses to report it as an open redirect... Guess I'll send a custom LART to "abuse[at]msn.com" advising them of the open redirect on the next one I get...

I just wish Hinet wouldn't be so receptive to spammer's money! :(

When I follow the tracking URL I see:

Report routing for 65.54.195.187: abuse[at]msn.com

ISP does not wish to receive reports regarding http://ads.msn.com/ads/adredir.asp?image=/...f_id=bivk229uie - no date available

http://ads.msn.com/ads/adredir.asp?image=/ads/imgsfs/ckd4ryyg87xw75.gif&url=http://www.evergreenwholesaledist.info/b/?aff_id=bivk229uie has been appealed previously.

Do you have "view technical details" enabled?

Yes... I've got "View Technical Details" However, it's actually two URLs -- one is MSN's redirector, the other is the spamvertised URL that's generally hidden. Why does SpamCop pick up that sort of URL when it's an AOL or Yahoo redirector being abused, but fail to pick up the redirected website when it's an MSN redirector being abused? Either way, at least the end website should be LARTed, no?

Besides, maybe it's not been made clear to MSN what's happening here... I've sent them a couple LARTs since this to the effect that their redirector is being abused by third parties and making them look bad. Maybe they'll take a clue, maybe not, but at least they've been notified and SpamCop should pick up that it's a redirect and LART the end website.
