Salty Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Please, please, please... somebody, anybody, fix the false average reporting time thingy! I never submitted anything older than 24 hours, certainly not an impossible 5-day-old spam. It's taken me almost six months to work it back down to 25 hours, and knowing it should really be about 12 hours is driving me -> !
turetzsr Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 ...Ignore it. No one understands it or can explain its vagaries.
StevenUnderwood Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Welcome, Steven P. Underwood. Your average reporting time is: 15.3 days; Not bad. And I report spam at most 9 hours after I receive it (23:00 to 08:00). This is actually an improvement over last week when I was well over 16 days.
turetzsr Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 ...SpamCop.net refuses spam that is over 72 hours old, so more than 3 days isn't even possible. It's information such as Steven sees that prompts my suggestion that it be ignored. <g>
StevenUnderwood Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 That's why I was laughing. And now at 27-apr-2004:18:54 EDT: Welcome, Steven P. Underwood. Your average reporting time is: 20.7 days; Not bad.
Salty Posted May 1, 2004 Author Posted May 1, 2004 No one understands it... except the programmer. And if I was the programmer, it would be fixed very soon or removed, otherwise I'd be too embarrassed by such a publicly displayed snafu, as folks might question my coding skills. (Yes, I've tried begging, now I'm resorting to attempts at shaming them to fix it! )
Wazoo Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 good luck, though suspect no change soon ... This thing has been beat to death any moons ago over in the newsgroups, and wasn't removed then ...????
