I'm not sure what you're getting at with your post.

I am not running a proxy, or adsubtract (etc.).

The error message was from spamcop.net -- instead of seeing the page that the spam had been queued it showed a page with that message as the body of the web page.

everything seems fine right now, though

Hi, Wazoo,

...Pls consider moving this the the Email forum, since it seems to have nothing to do with the Reporting System. ty

I must be confused, I thought that the VER was the Reporting System. I called it the wrong thing. I was trying to report spam at http://mailsc.spamcop.net/reportheld?action=heldlog/ -- so whatever that's called.

On the other hand, I suppose that the slowness from IMAP as well did indeed indicate that this was a SpamCop e-mail system issue instead.

Not that any of this matters since the problem only lasted like 15 minutes. But at least I'll have my terminology right next time. :)

...There's nothing wrong with your terminology as far as I can see. You had a problem with the SpamCop e-mail system (http://mailsc.spamcop.net). The reporting system is accessed either from the web-based submission page (http://www.spamcop.net/) or by submitting spam via e-mail (sendto: submit.<16charCode>[at]spam.spamcop.net).

...A bit confusing, eh? :) <g>
