From an individual's stand point full control of one's post seems reasonable. From the forums point of view if anyone could at any time delete their post it could result in threads that don't make any sense, when previous post go missing or are edited to remove/change content. A member can edit/delete their post for 120 minutes after posting ~~ an opportunity to re-read/correct errors or for author's remorse.
