How Do Delete SPAM from my held mail?

I can report and trash unwanted email but I can't delete the email in my held mail so it's building by 30 or 40 spam a day. I would like to clear it out so that there's nothing in my held mail. I've tried all of the options on the held mail portion, tried emptying the trash, but I can't figure it out.

My first thought is that there exists a FAQ entry, dealing with the lack of a Trash Folder. Have you read through that yet? Did it not solve this problem? If not, where did the instructions go wrong?

I created a trash folder in my webmail then deleted the emails. Thanks!
