Jank1887
I usually use the outlook/eudora workaround form for submission. Today I got an email with only an http address in the body. I put the headers in the header box, and the address in the body box. When I went to submit it, it acted as if I had only entered an address in the all-in-one form. I.e., it gave me info about the address, but no reporting options. (I'd post this, but it didn't give a tracking number and don't want to post the spam here.) I then went to the all-in-one form, and pasted it together as a single piece. Here's the link for that report, which parsed fine. http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z723915725z24...b0b3456bc7ef51z Is this a bug with the outlook/eudora form? It's come up several times before. If you want to see it for yourself, just bring up the report linked above, view the entire email, copy the header stuff into the header box on the separated submission form, and the URL (and only the URL) into the decoded email body box. (FYI - I'll be out of town for a week and won't be able to respond in the meantime.)
StevenUnderwood
I can see where this sample would find a hole in the programming, depending on how the Eudora page was constructed. I can see Julian using the existing one-page form for the body and having the headers part appended, but with only the one line of text, that part redirects the parser into the alternate (one-line) mode. This is something that should be fixed. Actually, I just received a spam this moring at my work address that only contained the words "just type our location: " and thier IP address. Of course no link was found because there is no link. The IP address, btw, is a DHCP serverd DSL one and no port 80 running on it at the time. Jank1887
has the correction for this been attempted yet? I have another one doing the same thing now. Here's the tracking link to the one that worked when I put it into the all-in-one submission form: http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z729686547z85...feadce22677af5z again, if I use the workaround form as described above, get the erroneous result. and here's another one, enjoy: http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z729687647zf0...2b203f2328016fz
