cputerace Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 So i have the sender verification extension on thunderbird: http://taubz.for.net/code/spf/ and i noticed that the accepted for proccessing emails fail the SFP lookup. Not just the usual "server does not support sfp", it actually does, but the emails fail. Not good for a spam fighting site to be failing SFP.

The issue boiled down to the fact that the "spam has been processed" e-mail came from the SpamCop Reporting system and that e-mail contained the SPF data for that e-mail server. However, the e-mail was then forwarded to/from the SpamCop E-Mail (account) servers, thus running into the already documented "feature" of SPF breaking forwarding ....?????
