prescription
A few days ago I started having this really annoying problem with Gmail. Every time I get an email I get a Delivery Status Notification (Failure) along with it. This is the message: This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: Technical details of permanent failure: PERM_FAILURE: Gmail tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 delivery error: dd Sorry your message to cannot be delivered. This account has been disabled or discontinued [#102]. - mta157.mail.re1.yahoo.com. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. Thanks for your continued support. (state 17) So when there's a new email, there's a (2) beside the senders name. When I open it, I can see the message the sender sent, no problem....but it comes along with the message above. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem?
Farelf
Moved from SpamCop Blocklist Help for better response in relevant forum ...Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem?Quick google showed nothing (except virus mail can cause something similar). Awaiting comment on the specific question from other Gmail users. Obvious question - are your correspondents getting a copy of the failure notice too? That would be REALLY annoying. Oh, and can you confirm is the sender's address? Or is it your Gmail address? Other Gmail users with the same problem would know but for me at least it is a little ambiguous given the strange circumstance.
Wazoo
PERM_FAILURE: Gmail tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. Just from the sounds of that, and you seems to say that this happens for all incoming, I would have to take the guess that someone set your account to Forward: your incoming e-mail to an account that was either mis-typed or perhaps already closed by Yahoo. I would suggest checking your GMail account settings.
